When it’s time to renew a lease, you shouldn’t have to dig through notes, files or old messages to find out who’s approved to live at the property or whether there’s an extra set of paws, wings or fins to account for. Because pets are part of the picture too. 

With PropertyMe, you can now record approved occupants and pet details directly on the tenancy. Keeping everything in one place makes it easier to access the information you need throughout the tenancy. Once entered, the information flows through to the records and workflows where you need it most. 

Keep track of everyone approved to live at the property 

You can now record a clear breakdown of leaseholders and additional occupants on the tenancy, with a free-text field for any extra context. 

This means you no longer need to search through notes or files to work out who is actually meant to be living at a property. 

The information also flows through to the property and contact records, so your team can access it from the places they already work. 

Record pet approvals and details in one place 

Pet information can now be recorded directly on the tenancy, including: 

• Pet status: Not requested, Approved or Rejected 

• Number of pets 

• Pet details 

• Supporting documents, such as pet application forms 

• Photos 

So if a property has an approved pet, you can quickly see the details and supporting information without having to dig through attachments or old correspondence. 

See occupant and pet details where you need them 

Once you’ve added the information to the tenancy, it automatically surfaces across PropertyMe, including: 

• Tenancy records 

• Property and contact records 

• Lease renewals

• Inspections

• Work orders 

This can be particularly useful when someone else needs to attend a property. An inspector can check for pets before an inspection, while a contractor can see relevant information before attending a work order. 

Add occupant and pet details to your messages and Tenant Details report 

New merge fields are now available for tenancy-related message templates. That means occupant and pet details can be pulled into your messages automatically, helping you keep communications accurate without having to look up and enter the information manually. 

We’ve also added new occupant and pet fields to the Tenant Details report, so you can include this information when you’re reporting across your portfolio. 

Keep a clear record of changes 

Every change to occupant and pet details is logged in the activity feed, giving you a clear record of what was changed and when throughout the tenancy. So if you ever need to provide an audit trail or supporting e vidence around pet approval decisions at tribunal, you have it all there.
