A peek into October at PropertyMe

Spooky season was officially upon us in October, with our annual Halloween celebrations at the forefront of the team’s minds. From debates surrounding what to wear to the oohs and ahhs as hair-raising decorations adorned the office, it symbolised the holiday season kicking off. But before we begin singing Christmas carols and thinking about what presents to buy, we’re still hard at work to ensure we finish the year strong. From new feature releases to creating resources to help you get the most out of PropertyMe, we’re committed to innovation, ensuring that we set you all up for success in 2025! With that being said, let’s take a look at what October held for the team and community.

Halloween celebrations

As we mentioned previously, our annual Halloween celebrations are the perfect opportunity for the team to let their hair down, explore their creativity by dressing up and enjoy some ghoulish-themed treats. This year we held a costume competition, with the winners taking home a cash prize. Unsurprisingly our team member who came in a head-to-toe Chucky outfit, completed with his doll mask took out the top prize, based on the scare factor alone.

We also leant into our child-like wonder, hiding trick-or-treat prize packs around the office for the team to discover, which created a competitive afternoon. After all of the competing it’s no surprise the team was famished, so we gathered around to share some nibbles and drinks. We can’t wait to celebrate again next year!

October Release

In 2024 we’ve had a huge push to continue bringing you frequent and highly-requested feature releases. This hasn’t slowed down as the year draws to a close, if anything it’s amped up. In October, we had the pleasure of releasing an enhanced Tasks experience, 360° Inspection Photos and a rent adjustment tracker. Keep reading to delve further into the release.

Enhanced Tasks experience

Tasks got a facelift! We’ve kept all of your favourite Tasks features and given them a revamp to work in harmony with our modern and user-friendly layout. Say goodbye to the Save button with inline editing and auto-save functionality. For those on Standard or Premium subscriptions, Checklists now sit higher on the page for better visibility and seamless management. All the task activity, messages, documents and comments now surfaced in a single timeline so you never miss a thing.

360° Inspection Photos

We’re here to take your inspection reports to the next level with our latest Standard feature. You can now add 360° photos for your clients to view on the PropertyMe mobile app or Client Access page. All you need to do is ensure you have an Insta360 camera, and that your PropertyMe Agent mobile app is up to date before you start snapping away.

Rent adjustment tracker

We’ve simplified the process of rent adjustment tracking, to ensure you’re compliant with the Queensland rental laws (6 June 2024). Now you can seamlessly monitor increases, decreases and rent resets right at the property level. This enhancement aligns with the recent change in Queensland legislation regarding the Rent Increase Frequency Limit, which will now be applied at the property level instead of the tenancy level.

The Loop

To go hand-in-hand with our October Release, we held The Loop livestream to give our community an in-depth look at the latest features. Held in mid-October we had a familiar face, Christina Strelka, joined by second-time guest, Delainey Newcombe. Delainey is the Product Manager for our Tasks feature, so it was a pleasure to get her insider insight on the product.

It was great to see over 1,000 of our community members joining in, if you haven’t already watched it you can here. Make sure you’re subscribed so that you never miss a live stream, next time we’ll be announcing the winners of our October release competition!

PMC NZ

We also had the pleasure of travelling across the ditch to attend PMC in windy Wellington. Our Business Growth Manager for NZ, Antonette Ram has hit the ground running since starting with PropertyMe almost a year ago now. So, it was great to see her mixing and mingling with existing and prospective customers alike. We even had a live portrait artist painting pictures of attendees as a keepsake! We can’t wait to see you all again next year.

Future of payments events

If you’ve been using PropertyMe for a while you’d know we launched MePay back in 2023. Since then we’ve seen such a positive response from our community members, as well as a want and need for more conversation around what payments will look like for the industry in the future. So we paired with Macquarie Bank to host two roundtable events to discuss this.

The events were held in Sydney and Melbourne and were a smashing success, with our very own CCO, Sarah Dawson and CPO, Scott Shepherd joining the Macquarie Team to discuss innovation in the industry. Thank you to our community who came along, we can’t wait to host more events in the future!

So there you have it, a peek into October at PropertyMe! As we move into the warmer months, we’re excited to continue innovating and connecting with you. Make sure you stay in The Loop and subscribe to our product updates and new features here.
