August 2025 Release: Lease Renewal Automations and Smarter Reporting

If there’s one thing every Property Manager knows, it’s that time has a way of slipping past, especially when it comes to deadlines like Lease Renewals or agreement expiries.

That’s why this month’s release is all about helping you stay one step ahead. From automatically creating Lease Renewals, to building smarter Automations with conditions and new triggers, to reporting upgrades that give you clearer insights.

These updates are designed to take the pressure off and keep your portfolio running smoothly.

Here’s what’s new in PropertyMe this month.

🚀 Automatically create Lease Renewals

Kick off your renewals process automatically with this game-changing addition to Automations

PropertyMe can now automatically create Lease Renewals and send initial communications well before the tenancy agreement expires. That means no more missed notice periods or tenants slipping through the cracks.

For Task-lovers, you also have the option to create a Task automatically, neatly nested inside the renewal. This way, you can manage checklists and renewals in one seamless workflow.

Want to get started straight away? Activate the new System Automation, ready to use with no setup required.

⚡ Automations enhancements: conditions and new events

Building on the launch of Automations, we’ve added even more flexibility to tailor workflows to your business.

  • Conditions for Automations: Apply conditions for Tasks and Lease Renewals, so you can customise processes for different property or tenancy types.
  • New Task Events: We’ve introduced “Expiring Tenancy Agreement” and “Expiring Management Agreement” as triggers, helping you automatically create Tasks ahead of critical dates.

💰 Track ‘Lease Renewal Fees’ in reporting

We’ve added a new Lease Renewal Fee category to your Chart of Accounts.

This means your Lease renewal fees $ metric in the Rental Statistics report will now be calculated consistently alongside management fees, letting fees, rental advertising fees and other agency fees.

👥 New tenant status filter

Finding the right tenancy data just got easier. You can now filter tenants by:

  • Tenant status: Occupying, moving in/out or moved out but not archived
  • Move-in dates
  • Move-out dates

This helps you validate tenancy metrics in Rental Statistics, review upcoming move-ins and vacates or clean up old tenant folios.

📊 Redefined Insights for Tasks

We’ve improved how Task-related Insights widgets are calculated, giving you:

  • Clearer historical reporting
  • The ability to filter results by Task assignee

🗂️ Last Transacted column and filter for suppliers

Last month, we introduced the Last Disbursed column to help you archive inactive suppliers. This has now been expanded into a new Last Transacted field.

You can now see the most recent activity, whether it’s disbursements, withdrawals or bill creation, making it even easier to confidently identify and clean up suppliers you no longer use.
