Getting started with the PropertyMe Connector
The PropertyMe Connector links your AI assistant to your PropertyMe portfolio – properties, contacts, team members, tenancies, inspections, tasks, maintenance jobs, and lease renewals – all accessible in one conversation.
This guide covers setting up the PropertyMe Connector in Claude Desktop and ChatGPT.
Step 1: Connect your client

Claude Desktop
Installing the PropertyMe Plugin
- Open Claude Desktop.
- Open Customise and go to Plugins.

- Click Browse and search for PropertyMe under the Partners tab.
- Click Install.

Installing the PropertyMe Connector
- Open the PropertyMe plugin and open the Connectors tab.
- Click Install.

ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT
- Open Plugins and search for PropertyMe

- Open the PropertyMe plugin and click Install Plugin

Manual Configuration
Follow the instructions for your specific tooling. At a minimum, you will need to provide the address/URL of the PropertyMe Connector MCP server.
PropertyMe Connector MCP Server URL
https://mcp.propertyme.com/mcp/v1
We also provide a skill definition to help AI be more effective when using our MCP server. You can install this in the following ways:
- Using the below command line (you will need to have node.js installed):
npx skills add https://github.com/PropertyMe/ai-skills - Clone/copy the skill definition from the Github URL:
https://github.com/PropertyMe/ai-skills – to learn more about installing skills, follow the instructions relevant to your AI tool.
Step 2: Sign in
After you add the plugin, follow the PropertyMe sign-in flow:
- A browser window will open. Sign in with your PropertyMe account.
- Allow AI to access your portfolio data by reviewing the Consent page and clicking ‘Allow’ (see screenshot below).
Step 3: To enable PropertyMe Connector, grant MCP Access to specific team members
You will need to contact your portfolio subscriber to follow the next steps to grant MCP access:
- Open Manager App
- Open Portfolio Settings
- Navigate to Team > Members
- Find the team member to whom you want to grant MCP access
- Open the Change Access modal by clicking the “...” under the Settings column
- Tick MCP access under Subroles and click Change Access

How it works
Connect once, then use natural language to work with your portfolio:
Look things up
- “What’s in progress for 22 Beach St?”
- “Who are the tenants with upcoming lease renewals?”
- “Show me all outstanding maintenance jobs.”
Search and summarise - search properties, contacts, tasks and jobs and see the results in context.
- “How many open inspections are due on my Lee St property this week?”
- “List my upcoming lease renewals that haven’t yet been started.”

Troubleshooting
No tools appear
Complete the sign-in flow first; tools load after you sign in and approve access.
“No access to PropertyMe MCP”
Check your portfolio is on the Advanced subscription (Manage PM), and that you have the correct MCP Access permissions under Portfolio Settings > Team
