A peek into September at PropertyMe (2021)

September has been a month of unpredictable weather to match the uncertain times. With temperatures changing from 13 to 30 degrees within a day, it has been a true representation of how we are all feeling as we near the end of this lockdown.

In saying that, the month has also brought forward many new opportunities for us to unite as a team and challenge ourselves to reach our personal and professional goals. With the launching of our new tenant mobile app, an office-wide workout challenge and R U Ok Day all occurring this month, it has allowed us to get excited, provided the space to check in on one another and even fostered some healthy office competition.

A big thank you

Firstly, we wanted to say a massive thank you to our PropertyMe community, for supporting us during what has been a long and arduous lockdown. What began as a start-up eight years ago, has now grown to Australia’s favourite Property Management software with over 4,500 agencies, 22+ partners, 50+ integrators and over 1.3 million properties. We couldn’t be more thankful for your support, as it has gotten us to where we are today. These uncertain times have allowed us to take a step back and reflect on how incredible our community truly is.

Tenant mobile app launch

September brought the exciting release of our new tenant mobile app, PropertyMe Tenant. We have been eagerly working hard to release the app, and are now overjoyed with all of the positive feedback we’ve already received!

Our tenant mobile app allows tenants to manage everything related to their tenancy from inside the palm of their hand. From lodging maintenance requests to messaging their Property Manager directly, it provides quick and reliable management of tenancy information as well as creating open lines of communication.

Count.It step challenge

With lockdown and winter coinciding, it’s safe to say that the past couple of months have been pretty stagnant when it comes to working out and moving our bodies. However as the weather warmed up it was time to take action, thus the September Count.it challenge was born.

The challenge consisted of six teams, all logging their daily steps for the entire month of September. The goal of the challenge was to promote movement and both physical and mental health throughout the month. However, with most things exercise related, an extra incentive always helps. Therefore, a Rebel gift voucher was awarded to members of the team with the most steps, and also the individual with the highest number of steps. Not only was the challenge a great way to get the team moving, it also produced some very entertaining team names such as the Red Hot Chili Steppers, Not Fast Just Furious and the Christopher Walkings.

R U OK Day

R U OK Day was on the 9th of September this year and served as an opportunity for us to reach out to our co-workers and provide space for them to talk about more serious issues. Unfortunately this year, R U OK Day was held virtually due to the lockdown, which meant that we were unable to connect face-to-face, however, the sentiment was still the same.

At PropertyMe, we believe that employee morale is paramount, with everyone needing to feel safe and heard in the workplace for it to function properly. To facilitate this, we take the time to understand our team members, as well as hosting regular social events to promote inclusivity and foster comradery. This hasn’t stopped since moving to an online workplace, with regular zoom meetings being held for both the smaller teams and the company at large.

Thank you for taking the time to read about September at PropertyMe, we look forward to sharing new updates with you again next month!
