5 ChatGPT uses for Property Managers

Last month we trialled ChatGPT, Jasper, and copy.ai for real estate copywriting, and like most users were left in shock and awe at the capabilities of this free tool. Inspired, we’ve come up with five ways you can use ChatGPT to simplify Property Management.

How to get started using ChatGPT

With only a few simple steps to get up and running with a free ChatGPT account, you’ll have your real estate listing started within minutes. With ChatGPT being a web app, all you need to sign up is an email address and phone number. Then using two-step verification to verify your account, you’ll be good to go.

Keep in mind however, that age-old saying ‘garbage in, garbage out’? Well, this rings true for ChatGPT. The quality and clarity of instructions you give the model will make a significant difference when it comes to the end result.

1. Property listing descriptions, headlines, and social posts

Recently we tested three AI models to see how they stacked up against one another—with ChatGPT coming out on top. Spitting out headlines with eloquently written property descriptions and social posts to match, why not use the model as a springboard for ideas?

If you’ve experienced writer’s block before, you know that a headline, property description or even a social post can be a nightmare to come up with. ChatGPT can give you that breakthrough, leaving you with engaging headlines and social posts that your audience actually wants to read.

2. Create customer emails

If writing emails were a sport, Property Managers would take out every title. While it’s a great way to communicate, reminding customers of rent or contract agreements is usually a repetitive task. ChatGPT is a great way to compile everything into a few bullets, and you’ll receive a well-drafted email with only a few tweaks needed.

3. Generate content ideas

Content, it’s either your friend or foe. Staying relevant in the world of property and ensuring that you have something that’s not only relevant but interesting to read can be a constant battle.

Gone are the days of scratching your head about what to write. Instead you can type, “create a list of 10 blog posts about property management”, and out comes ten ideas. Seriously, it’s that easy!

4. Write FAQs

Now we love a set of FAQs just as much as the next Property Manager, but coming up with the Qs and the As to match can be time-consuming at the best of times. ChatGPT does a great job at coming up with those very needed FAQs, even giving you the answers. While the answers may not be accurate for your state’s legislation, they give you a springboard to fill in the gaps and add your own spin.

5. Write a phone script

Cold calling, love it, hate it? Maybe you’re great on the phone when you get going but need somewhere to start. An AI-powered phone script might be what you’ve been looking for. Ask ChatGPT for a phone script that’s upbeat and informative, and you’ll get exactly what you ask for within just a few moments.

However, you plan on using ChatGPT. We can almost guarantee there is use out there to make your life easier. While it may write your real estate listing to turn that ‘cosy three bedroom home’ into an ‘open floor plan, light-filled three bedrooms with room to grow’, don’t take everything it says too literally.

Think of Chat GPT as your virtual whiteboard —your brainstorming partner to help get you going. We recommend giving this AI-powered tool a whirl while it’s free, to give you all the prompts, headline ideas and everything in between.
