With over 26 years of experience selling and leasing residential property in Victoria, Glenn Hardman is currently the Principal of Ray White Geelong. Here’s his PropertyMe customer story:

Hi, can you tell us a little more about yourself and Ray White Geelong?

My name is Glenn Hardman and I’m the Principal of Ray White Geelong. We have close to 1,000 properties under management and cover a significant area from Lara through to Torquay, from Leopold to Bannockburn, and everywhere in between.

What problems did you have with your property management software prior to joining PropertyMe?

I was really frustrated with the system we were using. It was outdated and 10 years behind the times with technology. Everything that we did seemed to take a lot longer than it should have.

Things like end of month reporting would take half the day and we would have to log the whole staff out of the system so that one simple task could be done. It was just a complete inefficient waste of time.

How has PropertyMe changed the way you do things at Ray White Geelong?

Since putting PropertyMe in place, everything is so simple and time efficient – what used to take 10 clicks just to receipt rent, now takes three.

Over $40,000 saved every five years

Because PropertyMe is cloud-based, we no longer have to purchase a server. So the server used to cost about $40,000 and we would have to upgrade it every five years. So there’s an immediate saving there.

Paperless office

Our office is trying to go paperless so that our property managers can be anywhere. With PropertyMe, they can log in and see everything that is scanned in the system: the authority, the lease, the condition report, the bond lodgement form. Everything is there at their fingertips.

They don’t have to leave their desks to go to the filing cabinet to find out where things are – everything is there. And if they log in remotely, again, they have access to all this information.

Ease of training

I can employ a new staff member today and by the end of the day, they know the system really well. They’re completely capable of running it by themselves!

It certainly wasn’t like that on the old system where it may take weeks to get someone up and running so they know that system.

What was the transition to PropertyMe like?

I think the main reason that people don’t switch over is the concern of losing information from one system to the next. The transition to PropertyMe, as it happened with me, was seamless. It was so easy. I would strongly recommend it – it’s the way to go.
