Property Management
PropertyMe
September marked a turning point, filled with fresh starts and the first hints of Spring. I’m sure we can all agree that we’ve felt the hot days that September brought, and with it came a feeling of warmth and excitement. Not only do we have Christmas to look forward to, but legislation changes and product releases are bringing a breath of fresh air into the industry.
This sentiment has been felt as we’ve had the pleasure of attending industry events and hosting our own Partner Conference in September, allowing us to chat with the community and keep our finger on the industry pulse. With that being said, take a look at what we go up to over the month!
In late September we held our second annual Partner Conference, the virtual event broadcasted from our Sydney office was a great chance to connect with our Partners. We used the day as a chance to reflect on the past year, ensure we’re all on the same page and share our collective vision for the future.
The day featured conversations hosted by our team leaders, including our Chief Customer Officer, Sarah Dawson and Head of Service, Glenn Pride. We also relished the chance to host a giveaway, and it was with joy that our Partners Kellie, Tam, Adam, David and Colin won the prizes! We can’t wait to see you all in person shortly.
In September we were proud to release a new feature and some exciting new enhancements. These included:
Contact Compliance
Our previous Reminders feature got a facelift, now known as Compliance to reflect its true purpose. We also added Contact Compliance, allowing you to assign Compliance items to contacts that are not assigned to a property. This new feature allows you to keep up to date with your Supplier’s Insurance and never risk sending a Job to a supplier with an expired policy!
Rental Statistics Report enhancements
Our enhanced Rental Statistics Report now provides deeper insights with new metrics:
This section of the report includes management fees, letting fees, rental advertising fees and other agency fees. To ensure that the fees are displayed correctly within the report, ensure that the relevant categories are assigned within your Chart of Accounts.
Track your total completed and overdue rent reviews, as well as rent adjustments, which are broken down into increases, decreases and the average adjustment amount by both dollar value and percentage.
Speaking of releases, our October release will be LIVE late next week! To mark the occasion we will be running The Loop live stream session, with a special guest, Product Manager Delainey. If you haven’t already make sure you’re subscribed so you never miss a session. While the team has been pretty tight-lipped about the release, we can share that it’s set to make your Paperless Inspections, 360 times easier. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled!
In order to give our community an in-depth rundown of our September Release, Product Manager, Peter and Onboarding Team Leader, Christina took viewers through The Loop. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to watch below, but for those who want a quick breakdown keep reading.
Peter took viewers through our new Contact Compliance feature, demonstrating the difference between assigning a Contact and Property Compliance. To do this, simply change the self-titled toggle in the top left-hand corner of your Compliance screen. Christina then demonstrated the new Rental Statistics Report metrics as well as the ability to attach emails and SMS to closed Tasks.
We were overjoyed to be part of such an inspiring and transformative two days on the Gold Coast. From listening to the sharpest minds in the industry to connecting with our community who provided their valuable feedback on our latest feature, Contact Compliance, we were absorbing it all.
We’d like to give a special mention to our community member, Tracey Kelly from Coronis Group. Tracey was part of an enlightening industry-leading conversation, discussing Coronis’ journey of innovation and how they used tech, mainly PropertyMe to help elevate their practices.
We’re sure you’re all familiar with R U OK Day, our team certainly is as we acknowledged it in September. This included getting together over some food, namely cupcakes to discuss how we’ve been feeling with work, life and most importantly our mental health. These organic yet gently guided conversations are important all year round, and taught our team the importance of checking in on both our loved ones and colleagues, particularly those that are less forthcoming. If you haven’t already, ask those around you how they’re doing and if they’re ok!
To continue promoting looking after your mental health, the team partook in Steptember! Ensuring that you prioritise your physical health, is one of the key steps to improving your mental health, after all, they go hand in hand. Competing in teams, with prizes for first place, the team ‘stepping in the right direction’ took out the top spot with just shy of 2,000,000 steps. In the words of The Proclaimers, they certainly walked 500 miles!
So there you have it, a peek into September at PropertyMe! As we move into the warmer months, we’re excited to continue innovating and connecting with you. Make sure you stay in The Loop and subscribe to our product updates and new features here.
